We’re Joel and Vanessa, and we’re pleased to see you here!

When our son Atlas was only months old, we dreamed up the vision of combining three of our favorite things: the great outdoors, good people, and beautiful spaces. We decided to make the vision a reality, and we’re excited to share this reality with you!

Third Place Theory says that we need community in spaces beyond residence and employment. We understand the value of intentional environments that foster peace and connection, and we aim to help you accomplish that by delivering professional customer service and world-class value.

The name Atlas represents the beautiful human desire to find our way by navigating the stars. We hope to thoroughly convert the non-camper, as well as top any past experience of a dedicated glamper.

When we’re not glamping, we’re running individual businesses in California’s Central Valley that fuel our passions (and provide for our blended family of three kids). Vanessa recently launched a wedding planning and coordination service, and Joel is going on four years as an independent handyman. We wanted to do something together that would provide a high-quality service to those wanting to celebrate… anything!
